Procedures regarding maintenance of campus infrastructure

The policy of the college is to have effective mechanism for the upkeep of the infrastructure and other facilities, so as to have smooth functioning in giving quality teacher training for the students.

Campus Maintenance
Adequate Human resources are appointed exclusively for maintenance and upkeep of campus infrastructure. Maintenance workers assist in the upkeep and maintenance of infrastructure facilities and the cleanliness of the campus and the hostels. The college outsources the maintenance of infrastructure facilities. The college campus is Plastic and paper-free. Campus cleaning and maintaining the available green cover is a part of education and training. The students plant trees and plants under the green initiative movement. Students record and display numbers and name boards of trees available in the campus. Nearly 180 trees are mapped and labelled inside the campus.
Laboratory and Classrooms:
Stock registers are maintained for the checking of infrastructure. Every year there is annual checking. The requirements identified are met and put to effective use. Equipment including consumables are purchased and replaced or serviced. Facilities are enhanced to Keep Pace with the changing trend and requirements. Issue registers are maintained in the laboratories to keep track of the availability of equipment.
Maintenance of Equipment & Computing Facilities:
The college has outsourced dedicated staff and overlooks the maintenance & upkeep of equipment & computing facilities of the institution. All the stand-alone and dedicated computers and network systems connecting these computers and the routine computer maintenance, software installations, networking are handled and taken care of by them. The upgrading of all the computers with licensed software versions has been initiated department-wise. Anti-virus software is purchased and is renewed annually for all the computers in the college. The computer units are facilitated with air conditioners to maintain the room temperature and to keep the computers safe and dust-free. Computer units are fully under power back UPS or interior facilities. Hardware equipment and UPS/Inverters is under AMC and is maintained every week.
Library Stock Maintenance System:
To keep a proper track & maintenance of the library books, every year in the month of June the library conducts the physical stock verification of books termed as ‘Stock Verification Process’. The physical stock verification process is being conducted with the help of ‘Bar Code Technology’ using library management software. The college Library has AMC with software systems for service support in the ILMS. The sensible precautions had been taken to reduce and control insects by implementing pest control service as part of the library housekeeping service between every six months. Library power backup is maintained by the technical service maintenance of the admin department.
Annual Maintenance Contracts:
The college has entered into Annual Maintenance Contracts with technical service providers in order to maintain Computers and its accessories, Printers, UPS and inverters, Generator, CCTV, Biometric devices, RO Plant and Solar Panels.
Utilisation
All the students are made aware of all the facilities of the college and encouraged to utilise all the facilities. Time is allotted in the timetable for the utilisation of library, indoor sports facilities, gym and counselling sessions in order to ensure the optimum utilisation of all the resources of the college by the students.
